Gears of War experienced a rebirth as a franchise with its 4th installment. They got a new cast of characters. A new threat. And a new problem: how to get the franchise’s die-hard fans to embrace the new protagonist, JD Fenix. We created a film that leveraged the franchise’s past and ran a thread into its present–introducing the next Gears of War hero while creating an emotional connection and a reason for gamers to root for him.
